Y&G Celebrates Success At 2017 National Judicial Competition
We are extremely proud of the delegates who represented California at the YMCA National Judicial Competition (NJC) 2017! During this exciting week, 28 hand-select delegates faced off with peers from around the country in mock trial and appellate court competitions. Many of the Youth & Government teams practice and compete together all year, making the competition tough for the California delegates who have just a few months to prepare.
It certainly was an exciting week for California, as many delegates finished in leading positions within their assigned roles and teams. We would like to highlight the following delegates:
Bridget Li - SVC/Palo Alto (1st Place)
Sudhiksha Kota - SVC/Central (2nd Place)
Rokas Veitas - SDSC/Magdalena Ecke (4th Place)
Rokas Veitas - SDSC/Magdalena Ecke (1st Place)
Louise Siskel - South Pasadena San Marino (4th Place)
Haazim Amirali - North Valley (8th Place)
Rokas Veitas - SDSC/Magdalena Ecke & Becca Shields - SDSC/Magdalena Ecke (1st Place)
Haazim Amirali - North Valley & Nikka Afshar - Newport Corona Del Mar (8th Place)
Congratulations to each of the delegates listed above, and to all delegates who participated in NJC 2017! We would also like to extend a special thank you to our NJC advisors for their time and dedication.
